Now I *have* to see this...

My co-worker, who plays a number of instruments, informs me that back in the day he used to have a fish tank, and when he played the bass saxophone - a large instrument that produces a lot of very low and subsonic sounds - his fish would all turn in parallel and stare at him.

I'm a tuba player, and so I know I lot of other people who produce low and subsonic notes, so I'll have to ask them if they've ever experienced fishing doing that to them.

Please do! I'm assuming that if it does happen the way he remembers it, the sounds would be causing some sort of vibration in the water that the fish respond to by turning, perhaps to minimize the vibrations? Or maximize them? At any rate, that seems like a good working hypothesis. XD

(I want to see this on Mythbusters. XD)
