Whooooooo wants to see my x-rays?
You do!
No, really, you do. Because I said so.
I don't know a thing about how arthritis shows up on x-rays, so I can't speak for that. I'm more fascinated by the scar from my broken toe from karate that you can see. :D It's about a decade old, and the second joint that toe sticks up distinctly farther than the others when you feel it, so I was kinda glad to see that it was obvious. :D (It also answers the question of: did I break my little toe the summer after I graduated college? Answer: probably not, unless it was merely cracked, as I can see no evidence of a scar. But man, it hurt like hell and was bruised for days! Didn't help that I was working food service at the time and on my feet for 8 hours a day, either.)
The envelope I got the CD in was stapled shut, but it had a note that very clearly said THESE X-RAYS BELONG TO YOU. YOU CAN ASK THAT THEY BE RETURNED TO YOU FOR YOUR RECORDS, so I had no compunctions in rippng the staple off. :)

The last one was me twisting my leg to the side and curling the other toes back so they could get as good a shot as they could of the side of that toe and joint.

I have no idea how you can tell if you have arthritis on x-rays so the above paragraph is going to be the beginning and the end of my input on this. :)

I'm gonna do us all a big favor and not post any of my recent medical films.
;-)
(Now I'm wondering whether my wrist still shows any of the tiny multiple fractures I got at age 8 when a well-kicked soccer ball snapped my hand back.)

There isn't as much space (equals cartilage) between the bones of the first joint.
