I have a friend who used to be the phone tech for a large legal firm. He set up conference calls, three-way calls, and other such variation. One day he got a phone call from a lawyer's secretary, wanting to know if it was possible for him to get both her and her lawyer boss on the line, then have another lawyer come in to the call, and then drop her out so that the two lawyers could talk.

He said "...Can your boss just call the other lawyer?"

She said "That's a good idea!"
