Man, Sora's such a teenage boy: he's got zits* and gangly limbs, and quite often behaves like a complete jerk to Nefer.





* Feline acne. Black stuff on his chin, possibly caused by plastic bowls - the intartubes say it's the bacteria on the bowls, while my vet diagnosed it as a plastic allergy. They're switched to ceramic bowls now, as per vet's orders.

Some cats just get feline acne from wet food too--we had one that was like that when I was a kid.

I feed them dry, so that's probably not it in this case. It's only been a few days since I switched - hopefully it'll lessen or clear up soon. :)

My parents did the same when Squeaker was a kitten. The bowls are also heavier, making it a little less likely that an enthusiastic cat will make water and cat food go everywhere.

Been there, done that. Haven't used plastic for a cat since 1993. Gatz actually has paper wet food plates and dry food bowls. Water is in glass.

Does Soren FART? Gatz had terrible farts when he was a teenager. I told the vet that Gatz farted when I gave him fish. Vet's reply "Don't give him fish".

Now Gatz just farts when he gets belly rubs - which is several times a day. I endure and have added 'Gassy Gatz' to his list of nicknames.

Sora farts like a ... a ... farty thing. XD One of the reasons I call him Stinky Boy.

I'm not sure which is worse - teenage boy cat or total Momma's boy cat. Murphy pesters me constantly when I'm home. He's almost clingy!

Little Kitty S had zits on his chin for a while well into his adulthood. I forget what the vet says was the problem but we were supposed to apply some kind of medicated creme to them. You can imagine how well that went over. Whatever we got on him soon got groomed off anyway.

And, of course, he does absolutely nothing that you tell him to do. But that's not a characteristic of adolscent cats, that's a characteristic of all cats.
