Ahhh. That's because one of the major themes of Juuni Kokki is becoming a better person. Almost every major character is unlikeable in their first appearance, but you eventually do like them, and not because you got used to them either. Because they change.

As cool as this is, there *is* a lot of overhead. I'm not sure I could have watched if I hadn't had all of the episode to watch at once.
