This is only the second time that I've managed to catch the fox spirits in the Firefox Gmail template I'm using:



(If you use Firefox Gmail, you can set it to use custom templates with pictures in them - the one I'm using has a little fox who lives at a temple. Over the course of the day, it changes to reflect the time of day, and the little fox does different things like eat, feed the birds, take care of the peach trees, etc. The fox spirits show up in the wee hours of the morning, so I only catch them if the scene is a bit late in changing. XD)

Aaarg, I meant Gmail for this nifty one that changes - Gmail->Settings->Themes.

You can use themes in Firefox also, with add-ons (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:2). If you look for Foxkeh themes on Google, that's the Japanese mascot for Mozilla. :D

Oh yeah, I love that theme. I've used it on google for ages, and I've only seen the fox spirits ONCE. Recently found that the same theme (with all different images!) was available for gmail too, and started using it. Yay, more cute fox.

I actually find it kind of helpful - it reminds me that it is time to eat lunch, do laundry and drink tea. (well, I usually drink tea anyway - but now I have the company of a cute little fox.)

Now that LJ's added the Expand thing to comment threads, none, actually. :D I have a script that limits access to the intartubes off-campus to a certain amount of time per day that does increase my productivity ... when I bother to activate it.

I've got a few - one that disables contextual text ads, one that scrubs twitter updates from LJ, and one that places an "Expand All" option at the top of a comment thread, so I only have to click once to open up to 10 levels of nested comments.

You'll have to edit the script based on what layout you use. For "Classic", it's 3 to completely remove the twitter post, 1 just to remove the tweets. I don't know about any of the other layouts.
