It's not yet done because, except for the skin, there's nothing but flat color here. Need to add more depth and detail to it, plus do a bunch of detail stuff that won't show on low-resolution jpgs like this, but that *will* show up in prints and close-ups.

Click on the 'art' tag to see what I've done so far - this technique is to do the thing almost to the end in B&W, then layer on color and refine it and do the details. :)

I've seen the B&W pictures. When you layer the colors do you just do it on top of the B&W? Do you use any layer blending options for it?

Oops, misunderstood. :) The easiest thing would be to show you instead of telling you, although the file size I'm working at is taking up 200MB at the moment (eep!). So I got rid of a few guide layers, shrank the res from 300ppi to 150 ppi, then shrank the dimensions from 11 x 17 to something x 12, which got it down to a manageable 23 megs, which zipped into 14. :)
