...to the late, unlamented oekaki board I used to run on magatsu.net. I logged in to take a look around for the first time in ages and noted to my horror that the comments had been hit by spambots so hard that it was easier to just torch the whole board than to delete them.

I did save a copy of the board files and the MySQL database contents so that anything on it can be recovered with a bit of rummaging, although I suspect it won't be necessary. :)

I think I have an oekaki board on a subdomain from you...but ever since I messed up the code playing with things...I've just kind of...gave up on it.

These days I do all my browser-based sketching on tegaki (which has a friendlier interface than oekaki, seems to me)

Are you kerhuang? That's the only username associated with a subdomain with an oekaki board I can find. XD (I just checked to make sure the spambots hadn't hit it - nope.)

yes I am~ The lack of spambot might be 1) I probably turned off the auto-registration. I am not sure. or 2) the oekaki board is broken. Not even the bots can find a way of getting in XD

Or you might have been smart and UNclicked the checkbox next to "Allow visitors to leave comments?" unlike some people we both know. *bangs head against desk*

SPAM and SPAMbots are an abomination unto Nuggan, truly. Who thinks that vandalizing other people's social spaces is a viable, ethical business model?

Bastards.

They'd sell their own grandma given a chance.
