Heh. Yeah. I've got a few original pieces, but the only one I ever sell is a Gothic Lolita-type girl.
Something I've noticed this past year that tesstrosa's going to try and that I might try is having a raffle to win a commission.
What I'm doing for bookmarks is using 4x6" photo paper, semi-gloss, printing two bookmarks per sheet, so they're slightly smaller than 2x6", so I can have some border around them to trim. I don't have to trim much, since my new printer does borderless printing, just cut them in half. I got a crafter's paper trimmer similar to this one (http://www.save-on-crafts.com/papertrimmer.html), which cuts a straight line for me.
Candy might help. I've noticed that just *talking* to people who wander by the table helps - many poeple sort of drift by, glancing at what you've got out, but if you say "Hello!" or "Please feel free to look at anything!" then they tend to feel obliged to flip through your stuff. XD
