It's decently cold in here (I try to keep it at 68°F in the winter), and I just looked around to see the kitten snuggled up to the cat. XD Naturally, when I went to get the camera to record this cute sight, I woke him up and he got off the loveseat. So you'll all have to trust me!

ETA: He jumped back up and now they're fighting. XD

He may have sneaked up on her while she was asleep. When we acquired a very young kitten (much younger than yours), she longed to snuggle the older cat, who was emphatically not going to allow it. I'll never forget the sad sight of the kitten sidling up to the very old cat and looking underneath her for the lunchbox units. Big cat=mealtime! Obviously!

Aw, poor kitty!

I'm not sure what Nefer is thinking - sometimes she's obviously exasperated, sometimes she's obviously playing, and other times she's in that vague boundary between play-fighting and real-fighting. Well, to my eye (and ear). The kitten, even after a bout of being pinned down and possibly savaged, has no visible wounds and usually immediately jumps back up and attacks her again.

Also, sometimes I've seen them wrestling - he's trying to fight her, and she's licking him. XD
