What Is It With People Who Capitalize The First Letter Of Every Word In Their Posts?

hEy, iT CouLd bE a LoT woRSE.

I do that sometimes. It depends on my mood. Sometimes I Like Excessive Capitalisation; sometimes i feel a bit more ee cummings about it all?

I don't have a problem with it when done for effect, much like I go into ALL CAPS FOR SOME THINGS on occasion. But when it's done for every single post?

text-transform: capitalize?
Lord knows I'm too lazy to capitalize every first letter by hand.

I really don't get it. Isn't it difficult to type like that? It's certainly difficult to read...

Do they do it by typing or by using an appropriate font/style?

...That's just weird. It's so much trouble! Who does that?

You know, the other day a student asked me what is the difference between CAPTILIZED words and lower case words, I could tell them it was to emphasize the word or phrase for effect. But if they were to ask me About Something Like This, how am I suppose to respond?

I think it's people who are just ANNOYING. XD

If they Sometimes capitalize the Occasional Word, then they're trying to imitate writers from the time of Jane Austen, who were still Doing That, I think for a Certain Sort of Emphasis. (Presumably a holdover from German? I have no idea.)
