Head still slightly hurts. Am currently watching Shounen Onmyouji* disc 2 since Netflix INSISTS on not sending my any more Kyo Kara Maoh discs DESPITE having them marked as "Available Now" in my queue (And it's not a matter of the database not being caught up, unless the database is a week behind, because it's read "Available Now" for TWO SOLID WEEKS).

I think the SO subtitlers have taken one lesson from the Saiyuki Reload Gunlock subtitlers: the evil demon bird** is perched on a rooftop berating the good guys for winning the current round, and it says:

Darn you! How could you do that!

* Might as well increase my potential yuletide fandoms.

** Yes, rachelmanija, it's an evil demon bird. More like an eagle than a chicken, though.

Oh god, the Geneon Shounen Onmyouji subs. I think that they knew they were going under soon anyway, and decided to just screw the whole thing. I was so used to the fansubbers telling me what Masahiro's prayers meant that I was surprised when I suddenly saw "(chanting)" during them XD

I know! I'd seen eps 1-7 or 8 in the fansubs, and it was a shock to see the [chanting] bit.

The fact that Mokkun/Guren/Touda has THREE NAMES is throwing me off a bit, though.

How quickly are you watching/sending back Netflix discs? They may have started throttling you as they did me as a heavy and therefore unprofitable user. People who get a disc & forget it & keep/pay for it for 3 months before they send it back and who have Random Movie 1 at the top of their queue get priority for RM1 over people who also have RM1 at the top of their queue but mail all their discs back every week.

Y'all so gotta read Dragon Eye volume 2, loving ripoffs of Naruto & Bleach aside. Morally ambiguous giant talking shonen warrior woobie demon chicken!

I haven't been watching them that frequently - I was on the 1 DVD plan for a long time and just upgraded to the 3-at-a-time plan, since I seemed to be watching more DVDs, although I'm finding that what I do is get the DVDs then sit on them* for at least a week before watching any. :)




* Or, more technically, the cat sits on them if I don't put them somewhere she can't reach.

I stopped getting anime from Netflix years ago when they betrayed me by not having the last half of Escaflowne and then (when I really should have known better) by not having the last half of Gundam Wing. They kept claiming that new discs would be bought any day now for, oh, at least a month before I gave up.
