ahahahaah actually I had a conversation about lilith in particular not too long ago. One of my friends had NO CLUE who she was. I stared at her for a long time and said "Aren't you the christian one?" she said "Uh yes, why?" And I was all "Um dude, she's at the very least a figure from YOUR mythology. Why would I know more about her then you?"

Ohohoh it was because we were back on the 'what figures in the christian/judaism religions would possibly be female if they were such mysoganistic bastards' and I said 'lilith doesn't count since she's really just a figure of pissy temptation and doesn't have much by way of godlike powers beyond being sexy'.

mmm so much misspelling. Ignore that, it's really early over here.

ANYWAY it reminds me of the people who like to say Maralyn Manson is a creative genius because he, and I quote, wrote 'sweet dreams'. When I ask them if they've ever heard of the arythmics or annie lennox, I get blank stares and then horrified looks when they find out that he did NOT in fact write that song.
