The label reads:

The paper used is from a book of scrapbooking paper featuring "old-timey" things: handwriting, things that look like lacing or trunks with labels, etc.

The label reads:
Tengu FeathersThe wrapping for this is one that is supposed to let the beauty of the object show through. Certainly makes it way more intriguing when you can see feathers through it.
The oldest Japanese form of the tengu is the Karasu Tengu, a crow demon. It abduct humans, starts fires, and wreaks vengeance on those who destroy the trees they live in. Some abduction survivors would be released, in a state of confusion and dementia called Tengu Kakushi ("hidden by a tengu").
