Confirmation that those random Russian LJs friending everyone are indeed spambots. The exact reasons they're doing it are unknown, though.

I had wondered about this because the last handful of new "people" friending me all had already suspended accounts by the time I got the e-mail notices. I thought maybe it was another one of those LJ-whore script fads.
