Hmm...

...just had a silly thought. What about a random generator for participants in NaNoWriMo to use for quick ideas to throw into their story to extend its length and/or increase wordcount? Stuff from silly mechanical tips like "stop using contractions" to meta like "change it to a bad Jane Austen pastiche so that characters pile clause after clause into sentences and address each other with honorifics and hyphenated names like 'Miss Tinkerton-Featherstonehaugh'", to elements to throw into the mix when out of inspiration and desperate, like "Your main character's love interest drops dead when a bunyip falls on them."

Obviously I don't expect it to be taken seriously, more to provide a few laughs, but useful suggestions considered as well. XD

So...ideas? (Especially ideas that can pull on elements from my other generators? XD)

Bahahaha oh god. I know these tactics.

- insert an author's note [...talk to yourself in the middle of your story, yes.]
- have your main character write a letter that describes the plot so far in exhausting detail
- someone has an involved dream sequence [retelling it to other characters later is optional]
- go to the dares-thread on the NaNo forum

I'll have to think of more. There're so many. XD
