[livejournal.com profile] myrialux and I spent the day shopping (I got a coffee table, he got a ... big electronic thing I've already forgotten the name of), putting furniture together and taking trash out, so even though I want to work on the Yuuko box, I'm too damn tired to.

Which is why I'm lounging on the loveseat watching Kyou Kara Maoh on the laptop.

And all I have to say is ...

THE HORSES WON'T GO TO SLEEP UNTIL GUNTER NUZZLES THEM?

That revelation sort of overshadows the whole "Gunter in the Wild Wild West" bizarreness that's been happening. I mean ... Gunter as a badass Lone Wanderer[TM]? I mean, dude, the first time in the series we saw Gunter, he was SQUEEING OVER THE DEMON KING'S UNDERWEAR.

Duuuuuude

...

I'm not sure what part of this makes me want to hide more...

And Yuri had to take over Gunter's duties until he got back, so Yuri had to nuzzle all the horses in the castle stables!

The previous episode dealt with the bad guy Maxine. I did listen closely to see if they'd meant "Maxim," but no, I think they were all quite definitely saying "Maxine."

But it's so CUTE. And disturbing. And funny.

That was such a bizarrely constructed episode. On the one hand, we have Gunter displaying some of the badass qualities we're told he has but haven't seen much of. On the other, we find out that he's the lynchpin of the kingdom in all kinds of bizarre ways. I mean, how did that whole thing with Gunter nuzzling the horses to sleep even start? One day one of the horses was restive, and they'd tried everything until they somehow hit upon Gunter nuzzling it. And then it told all of its friends and now they demand nuzzlings too? What?

I always heard "Maxine" for that villain.

I just thought it was something Gunter did because he lurves the horses. And then they got used to it. Although your way is funnier.

Me too.

The one thing that made the Wild West bits work is that Gunter displays that sold sense of romanticism that underlies everything he does. XD

He's a man of ideals!

I like his outfit much better without the usual cape piece. Strappy and kinky!

Damn you, you've gotten me interested in this series. (Got the first eight episodes sitting on my hard drive, and watched the pilot.) I don't have tiiiiiiiime for this!

Inflating...sheep?

I'm not sure I want to know.

Absorbent, really, more than inflating. They only play a very small part, but they make me giggle every time.
