Ike update

Don't yet know about my Houston friends, but at the moment DFW is just getting light rain. And the storm's track is heading east of us, so we might be getting winds from 25-45mph later on, but that's about it.

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] myrialux saya he's without power, but the wind's dying down. And that the air smells faintly of seawater. :)

Nothing to do with this post, but I remember being able to read all of it earlier, and all of a sudden it is appearing on my friends page with a cut saying "You are about to view content that may not be appropriate for minors." Do you know why this is and how I can make it go away?

I think you need to set your birthday on your LJ profile. You don't have to have it showing.

I *think*, a few days ago, I realized that there may be some sort of language or images on my blog that may Be Objectionable by LJ standards, so set it to "adult concepts". Which is probably now annoying all my LJ friends. :)

Yup, that was the problem. I'd only entered month and day since that was all I wanted to appear. Now your journal entries are back to the way they used to be. You're very good about using cuts so I can figure out whether or not I want to read the whole post (sorry to say but I usually skip the ones on manga and anime!).

Wait! No! Go here:

http://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/

Scroll to the bottom and set "Collapse adult-oriented material" to "Do not collapse". :)

Didn't see this before I replied above, but entering the birth year works too...and I still don't have to display it.
