Done:

-- Tested RedRiverPaper.com paper and found the cheapest type I could deal with, and ordered it. (Bonus! Turns out it was on sale at half price!)

-- Matted and bagged 5 pieces for Otakon, filled out paperwork, am waiting for address to send them, and need to make copies of paperwork for my records, and copy my drivers' license.

--Made Facebook fan page for PBR

I hear ya - now that I've assigned myself all these stories, I haven't written a thing this evening.

And I reeeeally need to get some non-fanart done for Anime Weekend Atlanta, because I need to get that done and shipped within 2 weeks. Aaargh!

*cracks whip* get on that art! Oh you just had to mention awa dammit. I promised the ad I'd have art for that too x.x *digs around for spare prints*

Any extra non-fanart ideas you have, send 'em this way! (Particularly if they're steampunk, as that seems to be on my mind for I don't know what possible reason...)

[identity profile] vestaka.livejournal.com 2008-07-30 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
oh you and me can talk steampunk. Did you ever read my dream abuot the great steampunk elephant that was the internet? (it was a cracked out dream). I'm in a steampunk rp so I've got machinery on the brain. But it seems to me what really makes steampunk badass are big landscapes with LOTS of rusty machinery.

Or maybe that's just what I like about it >.>

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2008-07-30 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
And that's one of my problem areas - big detailed landscapes. XD I was thinking more on the order of steampunk pin-up girls & boys. Hm...

[identity profile] vestaka.livejournal.com 2008-07-30 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
ahahah random pretties with lots of grease and gears? Works for me *grin*

*shoves on* if it's a problem area you should work on it! But then again I'm a masochist when it comes to art, so you may not want to take my advice there >.> *likes drawing the things I struggle with*

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2008-07-30 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
I agree I should work on it, but not when I've got two weeks to get several done! :D

[identity profile] vestaka.livejournal.com 2008-07-30 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
ahaha oh yeah >.> those sneaky deadlines, they keep ruining all the fun.

[identity profile] puppleball.livejournal.com 2008-07-30 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
I know it isn't steampunk, but go grab the digital burn book (or sift through the photos) and see if that jars some ideas for you. They can't *really* call that fan art?

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2008-07-30 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
The book itself is in a box somewhere in the garage, but I've got the photos on CD somewhere around here. That might work.

I'd be surprised if anyone recognized it. XD

ZOMG YOU SHOULD DO A HOT ENGINEER CHICK NEXT TO A STEAM CANNON.

...why, no, I'm not obsessed with steam cannon after putting them in my novel, not at all...

Heeee! XD

Speaking of steampunk -- scientists have deciphered the Antikythera Mechanism (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/31/science/31computer.html?ex=1218081600&en=913ac1b491a17253&ei=5070)!
