They forgot to tell me at work that the Spring finals days mean the parking is ten times worse than usual. The joke runs normally that a parking permit is really a hunting permit, but if I get here before 8:15 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and before 8:00 on Tuesday and Thursday, I can actually find a space in the parking lot near me.

Not this week. I got here at 8:05 on Monday, and managed to scam one of the few spots left in the lot, and made sure to get here before 8 today. Which did no good. I ended up parking along the side of the street four blocks away and didn't get into the office until afte 8:15. Ironically, today's the day I'm calling into the doctor because I can't deal with the side effects of the meds for my back and I've stopped taking it, so walking is Not Fun.

Thanks for all the music - I've still got stuff coming in. I havne't even been able to listen to *half* of it yet. :)

And for those of you on the SEKRIT PROJEKT filter - thank you for all your comments. Even if I don't get off my lazy ass and manage to reply to everyone, I do appreciate the time you put into your analyses and criticism, and [livejournal.com profile] rachelmanija and I are reading and considering everyone's comments. :)

It's finals revision time here, and for the first time ever it was hard to find a table to sit and read at -- most tables were filled with people with papers spread out in front of them. Finals don't actually start until Saturday, though.

It's always when you're in pain that you have to walk a lot, hehe.

It's a madhouse up here. Well, a relatively quiet and studious madhouse, but still you can't walk down the hall without bumping into people, and students are staking out the tables, carrels, and study rooms. And I'm running into an inordinate amount of people wandering around the basement here, lost, looking for their study room, who confess to me they've never been down here before. Which makes me look at them askance, because 75% of our books are on this floor - the Religion and Music are on the second floor because the Brite School of Divinity and the Music Library are up there, and half the bound periodicals, the microforms, and the reference books are on the first floor, but all the rest of the collections are down here! Why have these people never come down here?! What on earth are they doing in their classes that never once requires them to look up a book?

They're clearly not learning anything. Those people boggle my mind.

Must be something in the air with the back thing.... I;ve had to leave work early the last two days because of mine and now I'm going to my doctor tomorrow (happy, cause my adjuster just called and she was wrong about which doctor she's sending me to, so I'm going to the good one and not the asshole who never believed I was in as much pain as I said I was...)

Yeah...backpain is fun....

Yupyup. I've had a pulled ligament for over a year. I can't exercise to strengthen the muscles that will allow ti to get better, because ti hurts too much to exercise. Catch-22. And [livejournal.com profile] rachelmanija was in a car accidetn a year ago and has had back problems - and doctor problems - ever since.

Whee, fun. Mine is fun too...they don't know what causes it. A year and a half on disability and nada. They know I have a disk buldge at the base of my neck, but that doesn't account for my lower back. The best guess I've heard thus far is that it's a weak muscle in my mid-back, but without any specific testing (which none of the doctors the lovely *cough* people at Disney sent me to could do) no one really knows for sure.

Back problems and doctor problems go hand in hand...

Oh, and while I'm thinking about it, since I'm doing my scanning at the moment, how many prints do you think I should send? I'd hate to send too few and sell out (wow, is that wishful thinking or what??) or too many and you have to pay a ton to get them back to me.... Okay, well not a ton, but I don't want you to have to pay out the nose for it.

I got my back X-rayed recently, and there may be a wee bit of disk problems, but the doc thinks it's a result of the pulled ligament and not the cause. I called in and explained the side-effect problem (swollen feet, lovely, huh?) and got a new prescription, so here's hoping this one works. I'd love to be able to stand up for more than ten minues without having serious pain for the next 24 hours.

I love my new doctor, though. She's got the right manner, and she listens to me, and she doesn't dismiss all my problems with "Allergy. Here's some Allegra" like a previous doctor did. (Allegra has zero effect on me! Don't give it to me! It's a waste of money!)

As far as the prints - don't overdo it. I don't think I sold more than 5 of any one print last year, and I figure that the fewer there are left, the more likely they are to go as people think "Hey! I've gotta get this before somebody else does!"

Heh...I know how that is. My first Disney doctor (the one they tried to send me back to today but thankfully, he won't take me back) didn't believe me. I know he didn't. Oooo, swollen feet, huh? What were you taking, so I don't?

Course, I just got a lovely shot in the ass (literally) that's supposed to be a 24-hour anti-inflamitory...course, my butt is going to hurt longer than that...

Yeah, I was thinking 3-5, depending on the print. I just picked up the first 40 today. (8 prints, 5 each.) Well, 39 after a cutting mishap...*headdesk* I'll do another round or two before I ship off the collection. (My poor credit card....gods, I need a new printer....)

Ketoprofen. But regular naproxen sodium (Aleve) does the same thing to my feet: I bet if it doesn't do a thing to you, you'd probably be safe with ketoprofen. The stuff she put me on now is yet another NSAID, nabumetone.

That amount of prints sounds good - let me know what price youw ant for 'em and if you're willing to do a Sunday sale or not. I probably won't be doing a Sunday sale on my stuff this year, but I'm planning on lowballing the price anyway to see how well they sell.
