Death Trance Part Three
Herein commences Part the Third of the monumental Death Trance recap.
Grave has arrived at the scene of Yuri banging on the coffin, and attacks!
He grabs the penis-sword and...fails to draw it, tossing it aside.
Captain Exposition picks it up and notices that it's looking EVEN MORE PHALLIC. This apparently confuses him.
Yuri and Grave fight.
Yuri knocks Grave on his ass, but fails to kill him. She leaves him, with the words "It's no good killing you when you're not at the top of your game." As I posted to LJ at the time: this is shounen for I LOVE YOU.
As Grave is woozy and unable to get up, Yuri takes the coffin. The small adorable EVIL child follows her.
Grave decides a nap would be good right about now.
COMMENCE SYMBOLIC DREAM SEQUENCE IN 3 ... 2 ... 1 ....
Aaaaand then Captain Exposition wakes him up.
And we see one last shot of the twin woman warriors. ISTR there was some more fighting, but I could be wrong. It all blends together anyway.
Yuri has now dragged the coffin to a wasteland!
With a badly CGed oasis!
Warrior ... senses ... tingling!
Grave, who has just now caught up with her, poses. He's totally not into her and her 80s hair. No, not at all.
"Oh, yeah, BABY!"
I'm going to kill you. By which I mean I LOVE YOU.
Me too, hon. Me, too.
COMMENCE SHOUNEN MATING DANCE
Captain Exposition starts to realize that he mmmight just be a fifth wheel here...
But then is distracted by the penis-sword starting to THROB.
It intrigues him mightily.
CONTINUE SHOUNEN MATING DANCE
Yuri's sword is FLUNG AWAY and INSERTS ITSELF into the sand in a NOT AT ALL SYMBOLIC MANNER.
The fight, er, mating dance continues.
THE PENIS-SWORD CONTINUES TO THROB
Ahem. Would you two just get a room already?
Grave is the victor, as he is the protagonist of an action flick and thus can't lose to a chick. Plus, there's some plot-like stuff that needs him to happen. He bids Yuri adieu with a "Killing you is no good when you're not at the top of your game," by which he means I LOVE YOU.
Prepare yourself for PART THE FOURTH! There are only two major (and one minor) locations left in the movie, so I predict two more entries in this series.

ETA: I still have NO IDEA what was up with the three creepy dolls at the end of the dream sequence. It probably doesn't bear thinking overmuch about, though.

I do have to see this. I can't decide if Yuri or Grave is prettier, for one thing.

I think Grave is prettier because Yuri's hair is a little too unfortunately 80s. I lived through them once. I don't need to do that again. But she is cool and does have more than two expressions, unlike Grave.
