(no subject)

Went to old apartment yesterday afternoon and finished packing/cleaning there - wasn't much left, mostly canned food and bottles of booze*, but it was HEAVY. Crammed it all into my car, then went by the office to let them know what stuff in the apartment needed to be fixed before my lease officially ran out, as I don't want to pay for it. I'll have to go back one more time, to return my keys, but other than that I'm OUTTA THERE.

Most of that stuff is now sitting in my garage as I had no energy left to take it up the stairs. I'll bring it up as I use it.

The unsecure internet connection I was leeching off of wasn't connecting to the internet last night,** so I was forced to entertain myself. I also need to force myself to go across town to Ikea after work today or tomorrow, in order to see if I can get delivery of a loveseat on Tuesday, when I have to be home anyway for the cable guy.

There was enough positive response about the theme-a-week art community idea that I'll set it up today. Anyone willing to co-mod?

Thanks to yesterday's adventures I am tired and sore and unenthusiastic enough not to comment to a number of LJ posts I otherwise would have, so for those going through tough times: I'm thinking of you, even if I don't comment, and for those going through happy times: congratulations! :D And now I need to hit up my co-worker for ibuprofen, as mine is currently packed in a box somewhere.

** Don't think they were trying to stop me, as the easiest way to do that would be to make it a secure connection. I think they were just having connection problems.

What does co-modding entail? I might be interested! Is there sexy good times and chocolate treats? I would DEFINITELY be interested then! =D

:D I think mostly keeping an eye on the place to make sure that nobody's abusing it by critting on posts that the artist didn't ask for crit on, complaining about fanart, advertising unrelated comms and sites, etc.* As well as posting a weekly theme if I forget, run dry, or vanish off the face of the earth. XD

ETA: I'm sure we could have sexy good times and chocolate treats as well, if we wanted. XD

* I have no idea if advertising of related sites would be welcome. I think it depends on the zeitgeist of the group. XD

Okay then, but I cannot guarantee awesome attention span until July when the business is up and running. ^_^

I happen to also be leeching off an unsecure connection at home right now, and it also wasn't connecting to the internet last night. o_O Wiggy.

Congrats on completed move!

"I have an absurdly large liquor cabinet for someone who almost never utilizes it."

Hello, new internet best friend. ;-)

Only kidding. Plenty of booze available my way.

:) My biggest problem is that I decide I feel like X sort of drink, buy the ingredients to make it, make one, then never quite get around to drinking up the rest of the ingredients. XD

I did force myself to indulge in a bit of amaretto tonight, just because I could.

One of the very best ways to acquire an absurdly large liquor cabinet is to not drink much. That's how I acquired mine, anyway.

My mother has an unopened bottle of Wild Turkey that used to belong to her father, who never opened it for whatever reason. Rubber-banded to it is a petition from his neighborhood asking him to open it.

I have no idea when the bottle was originally purchased or given to him, but I suspect it'll be passed down the family for generations to come. XD

Hee! (Say, I wonder...I don't suppose that's the sort of thing that improves with aging, is it?)

I fear not. XD
