It's the brain-numbing numbers of repetitive costumes effect! One can only see so many Sasukes and ... oh hell, other Narutards (see? still happening) before becoming numb to the names of all characters.
Either that, or it's the endless parade of people in uniforms. Trinity Blood? Vampire Knight? Something else I've never heard of or forgotten or dismissed as yet-another-anime-in-uniforms? ^_^;
Yeah. When in doubt, resort to the Hackers labelling convention: "it's that guy who did that thing that time!"
