Random question (that was asked under f-lock earlier*): does anyone have any 1930s clip art of people hanging around? I know Dover has a couple of books (which may or may not have CDs) of spot illustrations and clip art of the 1920s and 1930s - if any of you have those and would be willing to scan in/send me a few files, I'd be eternally grateful.

* Because the quiz I'm working on isn't ready for prime time yet. You'll get to see it, no worries.

have you considered looking up pattern illustrations from the era? There are lots of vintage pattern websites and you can find tons of them on ebay.

That has uncertain copyright status. The clip-art solution neatly sidesteps that issue. :)

(I'm hoping for something somewhat domestic, as it's to illustrate quiz results for the 1930s husband/wife scale. :) Ideally I'd be able to have suitable illustrations for each result - Very Poor, Poor, up to Very Superior, but in all honesty I'll proably just end up with one pic for Husband and one pic for Wife.)

You might be able to use a dingbat font, depending on the usage rights set by the creator of course.

I found this (http://listemageren.dk/fontarkiv/missing-fonts.htm) via Dafont.com (the creator has a few font files on Dafont, but not these) - maybe you can find something of use in those?

I used Fontfreak.com (http://www.fontfreak.com/main.htm) a lot when I was in college. They don't have many dingbats though.

There are other sites I've used, but I can't find them right now, unfortunately.
