Okay, I totally have to get rachelmanija to loan me Death Note now, especially since she showed me an awesome tennis sequence by flipping open a volume at random at the local comic store. =^)
Yeees, you should read it! Succumb to the crack! The mangaka's tin ear for English names is the best part of it. XD
(The story suffers from the mangaka not knowing where s/he* is going, so the pacing sucks for stretches here and there, but since all the books are out over here, you can skim the long, dull parts to get to the exciting parts. Whereas we early adopters had to get it ONE WEEK AT A TIME.)
