I mostly suck at drawing chibis, so I spent the entire evening practicing them, just copying them from various Bleach sketches in the tankoubons, and from one of the how-to-draw-manga type books that wasn't actually a How To Draw Manga book.

After all that, I finally did one on my own - not refined or anything, still in quick sketch form. Interesting fact: having previously drawn Grimmjow Jaggerjack before is not actually any help whatsoever in rendering his mullet in chibi format.

You realize, of course, that every time you draw Grimmjow, it gets harder to take him as the serious badass he wants us to think he is?

I have never been able to see him as a serious badass! Have you seen the icon of Grimmy's little OH MAN I'M BADASS dance? I can't find a copy of it, but the little two-step shuffle he does is seen in this YouTube vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eBroTemQ70) right at the 0:11 mark - it's a view of him from the back as he's all attempting an endzone dance.

I've never been able to take Grimmjow any more seriously as "I'm so badass!" than I have, say, Renji. It's just that it gets harder and harder to indulge his need to be taken as a serious badass as time goes on.

Indeed. Rukia can stand on the sidelines and critique their techniques. For real fun, we could toss Ichigo in there, too, and have Orihime on standby to patch them up. (This reminds me...do we have a clue what's been up with Grimmy lately? I don't think we've seen him since Kenpachi showed up to fight what's-his-face. I thought Orihime was patching up him and Ichigo both for a bit, but...)
