I would link you to an entertaining little rap video about tea that I found last night, but my employer blocks Youtube. I posted it on anachrotech, if you are willing to hunt for it.
I have no links, but I did read an interesting article on MSN news about why wheat is not grown as much in the U.S. and what this means for the rest of the world. I learned that wheat originated in the Middle East.
That was a pathetic attempt at entertainment... *cringe*
I is writing the next bit of fic. Don't suppose you know a recent release of something really complicated, academic, theory-ridden? Like Lacan or Levi-Stauss, but you know, a recent release?
It makes sense in context, I swear. Or will. Eventually!
I'm not sure how complicated it is* but I've got Steven Pinker's The stuff of thought : language as a window into human nature checked out and am partway through it now.
Naturally I, and I'm sure everyone else, read the chapter on dirty words first.
* Well, it does take attention to really grasp the fine details of the theories. It also gets more complicated when he's snarking about other people's theories. I got lost about two pages in to that chapter.
As I was walking through the mall today, on my way home from my volunteer job, I got distracted by a sale on some tank tops that I thought would be very suitable for being civilly disobedient in, as they co-ordinated very nicely with the new wings I acquired last night from the Toronto Pot Pixies, whom I am joining.
That's just context, not the entertaining part. I think.
As I was making my purchase, the cashier was interrupted by a frantic young woman who was wearing a nice blouse and old jeans, asking if they sold any dress pants.
"Yes, we do--" started the clerk.
"Great! I have a job interview in less than 15 minutes. Can you help me? I don't know where to find them or what they look like."

Perfect.
This means I don't have to use Elaine Svenonius's Foundation of Information Organization. Heh.

Work is too crazy to be entertaining.
Besides, we just got a scary new memo about ... blogs. Specifically, blogging at work.

Itty Bitty Robots
I am coveting many of these! If... if... well, I'm lucky I actually finished my solar light-up wrist decoration, so I'm not tackling anything fancier.
OT - Re: Itty Bitty Robots
You have such good taste in icons!
