(no subject)

Accomplished this weekend:

-- Finished 6 pictures for the PBR chapbook. How many more to do...?
-- Finished rough draft of story for chapbook. Clocks in at 2409 words at the moment. No telling what it'll be when rewritten.
-- Watched eps 10-13 of Avatar, in preparation for the second half of season 3 to be aired this summer.
-- Went out to a furniture store as Mom wanted me to sit on a particular couch and tell her if it was comfortable or not.
-- Picked up prescription refills

I feel exhausted.

Woo-hoo! Go you!

PBR chapbook: At least one more drawing each for mine, [livejournal.com profile] seajules's, [livejournal.com profile] yhlee's, and yours, plus a cover. So minimum 5 more. But more would be good. I feel like people are going to be really into the art and want as much as possible.

I'm going to try to do two more for yours - the dragging one and the one involving belts (to remain coy about it in public XD). If I can't get two in, the belts one wins, as I think it's more ... central to the characterization and theme. Ahem.

I have 5000 (possibly terrible) words written, and they're still in the car. Shoot me now.

I mean, he has been dragged to the car, not that they're lurking in the car before going into the bar. Thank God.

If it was that second one, I'd have been very, very worried about you.

I gave up on Robert Jordan after he had his characters spend sixteen pages climbing a hill. They weren't having an important conversation or battling orcs or struggling through a blizzard, they were just... climbing a hill.

Wow. Makes me glad I got halfway through the first book, realized I couldn't remember anything about any of the characters, nor did I care, and tossed it.

I gave up after a whole book went by with no Mat Cauthon.

Beckettian.

[livejournal.com profile] telophase, would it help you at all if I sent you the rough draft so you'd have an idea of what the story was about and could start thinking about a drawing? Unfortunately, because of the premise, I suspect it's not very illustratable. :-(

Sure, that'd be great. I was thinking of asking you for that tomorrow, as a matter of fact. :) I could probably come up with something metaphorical if necessary. XD

But was the couch comfortable?

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2008-04-28 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
The couch wasn't there. :) This store didn't have the same couch that Mom's did, so no sitting.

Foiled!
