Woo-hoo! I've got two LJ friends with books that I know are coming out this year:

rachelmanija with All The Fishes Come Home to Roost, a memoir of her rather less-than-typical childhood in India,

and

bitpig with Draw Manga, which is about, er, drawing manga. If you've been to a con and attended Bruce Lewis' "How to Draw Manga" workshops, that's him. Should be out at the end of June, according to the Amazon page.

So go have a look at the links and if *you're* publishing a book this year, let me know. :)

Absolutely they do! XD You think I'm not serious? There's plenty of comics out there done using stick figures and simple shapes and stuff.

I have a good concept that I shake every now and again to see if I can make it work, but it's not really suited to stick figures. Good thing I don't have to worry about drawing until I finish a script. XD

Don't think I'm not tempted - but it'd take a heckuva lot of rewriting and getting people to draw me examples because there's no way I could currently convince a publisher to go to the expense of getting permission from the series I've sued so far. XD
