(no subject)

My supervisor gets up every morning about 8:45ish, presumably to go upstairs to the break room and nuke his breakfast, and bring it back down to eat at his desk. I don't know what it is he eats, but it's got bacon in it and it's DRIVING ME UP THE WALL because now all I can think of is BACON and my breakfast here of a Power Bar Harvest (double chocolate, natch) and a Diet Dr. Pepper is JUST NOT THE SAME.

I WANT BACON.

BACON!

I may go to Cafe Express here for lunch ... they serve *wonderful* BLTs. You inexplicably have to tell them to toast the bread, but their bacon is thick and warm and dripping with fatty goodness.

It's BACON!!!

Man, I was going to go to Subway for lunch, but .... BACON!! I think that Cafe Express is really going to be it.

Subway has bacon you can add to any samich, too. Extra greasy pig parts for the win!

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2005-04-25 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
They've got small, thin bacon that's pre-cooked and sitting around for a while. Cafe Express has freshly-cooked, thick, juicy dripping-with-nitrates-and-pig-fat bacon. And mmmmmmm, it was good. :)

Plus, I wanted my sandwich to feature bacon, not treat it as a condiment. XD I shall probably be heading to Subway tomorrow or Wednesday, though, for my standard six-inch Spicy, no cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, cucumbers, mayo and spicy mustard, make it a meal. Yes I am boring and always order the same thing. :)

Hey, I always order the same thing, too, at most restaurants. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

For Subway it's a 6" meatball w/cheese on white, all non-green vegies, w/ bacon and extra sauce and extra mayo and a bag of fritos and one cookie. Soda optional.

Heck, some places I've never even tried anything else on their menu except for the thing I order there. I keep thinking maybe it's time to try these other nifty things, but then I realize it means not eating the thing I like that I went there for and I still don't do it because you can only eat so much in your life so you have to make it count, right? Chick-fil-A? Never tried anything except their standard chicken sandwhich. Schlotzskys? Only ever had the hot roast beef. Jack-in-the-Box? Only ever had the Ultimate Cheeseburger and curly fries. Arbys? It's just a regular roast beast samich for me, thanks.

So, I get ya on this one.

One Subway I used to go to knew my car and had the sandwich ready when I got inside. XD

Chik-fil-A I've only ever had the nuggets (Combo #8 with honey mustard) but that's OK because I don't like chicken on sandwiches for some reason. Schlotzky's is a small original deli deal with salt & vinegar chips and a Coke. I am sad that the local Schlotsky's doesn't have Mr. Pibb/Pibb Extra because that combo is PERFECT with a Mr. Pibb and a Coke is a sad, sorry second. Jack in the Box I dont' go to often. Arby's is a regular roast beef with, if I remember to tell them, staight instead fo curly fries.

I only order the BLT when I go to Cafe Express now, which is sad because they've got a /lot/ of really good food. I need to go when I'm not in the mood for a BLT. There's a salmon dish that I want to try.
