Thanks to the magic of iTunes and a birthday gift certificate from my mother that I finally redeemed, I now have way more Avatar on my iPod than any one person has a right to.

I have also discovered that I can get Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles via iTunes, so eps 3 and 4 will be under my belt shortly. :D

I love living in the future.

P.S. If anyone want to direct me to discussions of Avatar season 1 on their LJs, please do so. I'm only partly into season 2, though.

*cough* I have the first two seasons on my ipod... just in case I find myself waiting around for any reason whatsoever.

I was actually pretty careful not to discuss avatar on my flist very much because most people on my flist weren't into it yet and I didn't want to spoil anything.

I do have some zuko!muffin comics I drew a while back?

XD I've only picked it up now because when it was first zipping across the f-list, I was the subject of a little too much OMG YOU MUST WATCH THIS RIGHT NOW, which tends to have the opposite effect of making me disinclined to watch it at all.*

So, of course, I'm watching it now, when the main flush of squeeing and discussion is over, and I get to wander around feeling like I missed out. XD

* Same thing happened with Firefly and Battlestar Galactica. I eventually watched the pilot of Firefly - yes, the one that everyone says is the one you should really watch - and can't stand any of the characters and have zero interest in the setting or situation. And I'm not willing to invest several hours of my life on the off chance it might get better when I can, instead, watch Avatar or something else that I know I do like. :D

Yeah, that's the other reason I was playing it cool! I didn't want to be shoving it down people's throats. I've trailed after the bandwagon in a few fandoms myself. XD

Hmmm so Avatar discussion... booze_benders comm is pretty inactive but there have been some good discussion there. (It's a comm for those of legal drinking age or older.)

Firefly I TOTALLY missed the fandom for. I saw Serenity then bought the series and watched it through once. I never did get into Battlestar Galactica.

Ahhh Avatar! Zuko is so fighty and GRR and scary in season one!

ZHAO! Ommmggg... I belong to this group on DevArt http://noselfcontrol.deviantart.com/ It's a Zhao fanclub. I gotta say, he's still one of my favourite villains. XD Out of all of Season one The Blue Spirit is one of my favourite episodes. And as much of a HUGE ASS DORK Zuko is and he makes me writhe with embarassment on his behalf I think he's one of the best cartoon characters I've come across in terms of growth and complexity.

Gotta say tho, so far Season Two is my favourite season. =D

Heee! I really like Zuko's character arc and his HUGE EMO DORKNESS. And with the Blue Spirit thing, I keep being reminded of the character in Sorcerous Stabber Orphen who keeps showing up disgused as a superhero riding who thinks he's really cool and everyone else calls him Shrimp Man. XD

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets completely alienated by rabid fandoms. It took someone with almost identical fictional tastes to mine and another with less tolerance for "OMG! MUST WATCH!" reccing Avatar to me to get me to check it out.

(Love Firefly but easily see why it isn't for everyone...Could barely struggle through a handful of eps of BSG)

Yay, Avatar! I am made sad because Season 3 seems to have disappeared half way through being aired. Of course that just means more new avatar to look forward to! :D (Season 3 is supposed to be the last season of Avatar.)

I have no discussions on it because until recently no one else I knew watched it and it's hard to carry on enthusiastic conversations when no one else is participating. :)
