Apparently, there are zero people with my name in the U.S.A.

Somehow I think there is a flaw in their database. This is somewhat reassuring.

How ... existential.

Me too!

But I actually know there's another person besides me with my name because she emailed me a few years ago. Oh well, she only married into the family.

But really, my last name's so rare that I figure anyone with it must be related to me at some point in the family tree.

Same here. And thanks to genealogists, I can prove that we're pretty much all related, and related to the one guy who came over here around 1700ish. XD The name changed spelling (Foltz to Folse) after he got here.

I've never met or heard of anyone else with either your first or last name.

I didn't think there would be more than one with that particular combination, but I *am* in the US. ;)

I haven't met anyone with my last name who wasn't related to me. I've met one other person with my first name, and heard of others with it, sometimes with a different spelling (but very likely the same origin), and I hate it. I am used to it being just mine. I am very possessive of it.

This Stephanie envies you that.

Oh, I remember this meme or something like this. It claims 0 Yoon Lees, and there's at least one other besides me!

Hee, I did this over at kispexi2's ... There were 38 of me if I use my married name, but my maiden name didn't register at all.

The site notes that names with really small populations typically aren't in their database.

There are 31,355 people in the U.S. with my name.

I am legion.

But you're not Anonymous. :->

We are all of us Anonymous, my friend.

Zero on my first name. Not surprised as it's extremely Dutch and hard to pronounce for anyone who's not Dutch.

I'm fairly sure that I'm the only person with my name in the whole world. My last name is very Greek AND is an alternate spelling; my first name is very Not and has been declining in popularity since 1960.

According to that thing, there are zero people in the US with my last name.

[identity profile] lady-ganesh.livejournal.com 2008-02-16 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
42! Which is odd because my first name has an unusual spelling.

Well, I'll be dog gone! O_O

First given name: 19,728 <--- Way more than I expected. By about 19,000 or more. I've heard of a few people who share my first name and met one of them, but it's definitely not a common name.

Middle given name: 138,095 <--- Interesting. I feel their pain. >_>

Married surname: 0 <--- Impossible figure, peeploids. There's my ex husband, his brothers, his dad, his dad's brothers, et al. His is not a really big family, but it certainly does exist. It is kind of funny that only me, my ex, and one of his brothers live in this city because everyone who knows our surname automatically knows we are or were related somehow.

Maiden surname: 1,791 <--- Sounds about right. And I am indeed related to probably all of them. Ours is a huge family. No. We are not interbred - contrary to the popular use of our name as a derogatory term for low class people. -_-
