This is why I like Adagio Teas: not only do they sell some pretty great teas, but they also email to let me know that my tea has been delivered. Not just shipped, delivered. :D

(Now I need to go buy another tea strainer thingy for work, as they were temporarily out of the mug and tea strainer combo. My coworker's wife decided we needed a microwave and refrigerator in the systems office, so I can make tea without having to go all the way up to the break room now. XD)

My favorite (so far) variety they sell is named "Golden Monkey." Which always makes me think of Goku. XD

Mmm, Adagio Teas. I'm a sucker for Foxtrot, since I can only drink herbal. Eliza adores Golden Monkey.

I'm pretty boring when it comes to tea: I'm into black tea, and that's just about it. I don't even like black teas with added flavors. English Breakfast is what I usually drink.

So this order was a nice little variety of black teas. XD

I never liked tea until a doctor encouraged me to drink the herbal stuff and a friend hooked me up with Adagio. Then I discovered I like it very, very strong, and my main problem all those years was the people serving it to me were convinced I'd like it weak (I get the same reaction from people with regards to "hot" foods, when I used to drink Listerine straight from the bottle as a kid). Now I steep it forever and throw some agave nectar in there for sweetening. Tasty stuff.

And I meant to mention, Eliza likes Golden Monkey in part because of the Goku connection. *G*

I highly dislike weak-flavored drinks. Flavored waters and even water with a couple of lemon slices in it taste nasty to me, because I think if there's going to be a flavor, someone should commit to that flavor.

Hmmm ... and they don't seem to have a "Golden Cicada" ... we could pick suitable teas to represent each of the 4, I guess. (We used to do that with models of cars and the LotR characters.)

When I discovered that a few of the HEBs in Austin carry Adagio pyramid bags (including Golden Monkey and Silver Needle, two of my favorites) I did a downright noisy and embarrassing happy dance in the aisle. Got me a few looks, but hey. :D

I'm drinking Lapsang Souchong right now - made with tea leaves smoked over a fire. It's pretty good. I like it, although I don't love it. But the woodsmoke aroma is making me think of SCA mornings by the fire, drinking tea. XD
