There's some sort of problem with the main campus phone system, so some calls are getting routed weirdly.
Of course, my phone is the one phone in the systems office that's receiving the weird calls.
ETA: I've now gotten calls for Jerry, Bob, and the tennis shop (which I wasn't aware existed), often multiple times as the person tries to get through, and a number of hang-ups. I have taken to answering the phone with a long, slow, drawn-out "TCU Library Systems Office, this is Stephanie" to give the caller's brain enough time to realize they've got hold of the wrong person. (I know that nobody ever hears the first couple of words you say on the phone, so you have to do that to get people to listen.)
ETA2: Just unplugged my phone and sent an all-staff message telling everyone to email me instead of phoning if they need to get in touch, as the constant stream of misrouted calls was driving me nuts.

I think the planet of technology's in an ugly aspect with the planet of confusion today ... our external browsing firewall was just down for about 40 minutes (which meant no frivolous LJ but also no serious Google for researching tomorrow morning's little feature article).
