SOMEONE STOLE THE WHEELS FROM MY CAR


I have no idea what I'm going to do right now, other than call the police and report it. THIS IS NOT WHAT I NEEDED RIGHT NOW.

ETA: Have called police & reported it. No other apparent damage, so they can take the report over the phone without sending an officer out.

Am going to soon call insurance, and call dealership to find out (a) replacement cost and (b) how the heck I'm going to get my car somewhere where they can replace the wheels and check for further damage. AARRG.

I am deeply suspicious of the place I got my inspection done Wednesday, for no reason other than I need to suspect someone, because they're right nearby and I don't know why someone would single my car out otherwise. Although I still don't know why they'd do it. AARGH

You know, now that I think more about it, how did that play out with your morning routine? I mean, other than things coming to a grinding halt. I think I'd just be left staring at my car for several minutes like "wtf mate?"

I stared at it in unbelief for a while, then went inside and phoned work. Then I phoned my mommy and went AAARRGHGHHH!!! at her. Then I posted to Livejournal. Then I phoned the police. :)

And now I'm waiting for 8:30, so I can go tell the apartment complex, and then 9 AM so I can call the insurance people. And hopefully the insurance people can tell me - I pay exorbitant rates to USAA for them to tell me - what to do next and how to get my car onto a tow truck to get it to the dealership to get new wheels and check for damage. Anyplace else would be cheaper, I'm sure, but I know USAA will pay for dealership prices.

I was planning on moving in May, and signed a 9-month lease that ends in June, so no worries there. I'm thinking about moving closer to TCU, though, so I can cut my commute. :D
