The protagonist of this story is a boy disguised as a girl who has a cloak. On the way to the story's conclusion the protagonist encounters a woman in men's clothing. This person has a black leather trenchcoat. Plot elements include zeppelins and a sense of humor, and at least one character is motivated because their country is not yet free.

I'm seeing some sort of alternate-universe steampunk WWI spy story here.

That's ok; the first time I read through it I tagged on "With genderfuckery! And grapefruit!" to the end of it. I'm still not quite sure why the grapefruit belongs there, but I feel like it fits somehow.

The Cool Bits Generator in Action

You want an example of a fic actually inspired by it?

thewriter0 was asking for prompts for drabbles, and she writes nice Saiyuki fic, so I ran the generator and gave her the first half of one of prompts that came up (It was supposed to be a drabble, so there wasn't much point in giving her anything too long.)

I did assign my preferred characters to the roles that came up. The prompt that I gave her was:

Hakkai/Gojyo AU - in a bar in a city overseas, Gojyo's a roving gambler, Hakkai a local poor intellectual who's just come in soaked from the rain.

She found it too inspirational for a drabble, and the result is here (rated R, m/m not terribly explicit).
