Hee!

I think that if we try hard enough, and squint long enough, we can just barely figure out the moment when the zanpakuto meme took off:

I'm wondering if it got posted to a community or a popular forum at that point? (I think all the times are in Pacific.)

Heh, yeah.

I posted my results as me to my LJ July 6 11:30 p.m. EST and to my [livejournal.com profile] tastes_of_honey roleplay journal 11:17 that same evening, so I can't take credit. It started showing up a little on my f'list after that though not Schu's. So I unfortunately can't help you on figuring where it went to.

Hard to say. :D It could have been the time at which the most people got on LJ and started reading their f-lists and it exploded from there; my stats give me the top 50 referers, and there's no one site that has given a huge number of links to that meme. I'm still getting 100-125 hits from www.seventhsanctum.com per day, but those are links to the Cool Bits and Art Prompt generators.

To my amusement, one of the people Schuldig Friended is Hanatarou, who commented to say that the generator didn't give him his actual zanpakuto (http://tastes-of-honey.livejournal.com/53596.html?thread=903004#t903004).

Aww, poor baby! XDD

*snort* Yeah, I was laughing last night when others on my flist started posting their results. XD (though the first one I noticed it on didn't mention where she found it or who it came from, so I couldn't track back...)

Looks like suppertime is between 6:00 and 8:00! Or was something on TV? Then afterward, everyone starts up their web browser for the evening's entertainment... but hits the pillow at midnight.

Very interesting; and there are even more interesting data about social networks on the web, implied.

I love poring through my stats to see this sort of thing. :D I know that Monday is usually the busiest time on my LJ f-list and Friday/Saturday the slowest: if I want to announce something and have maximum exposure, I have to hold off until Monday or re-announce then. I'll find out on Tuesday what Monday's stats are. XD

This is the LJ equivalent of throwing rocks in a pond and watching the splash and ripples... a contemplative and restful activity, once you've heaved the rock.

(I've always wanted to come up with an outrageous but just-barely-possible shocking rumor (oh, say, that Catherine Tate would be the next companion on Doctor Who) and watch it detonate and reverberate. This is just as good but less malicious...)

I started giggling when the meme started showing up on my flist last night. Unfortunately, as mentioned above, the first one didn't mention where she'd gotten it from so no clue.

Hrm, I hope I didn't spam the generator too much last night. I know I did around the time the spike happened... it's like crack!

*laugh* While it's not possible I caused that big a jump, I likely gave it a little nudge. *looks innocent*
