Radios...
Yesterday I stopped into Office Depot to pick up mailing supplies*. On their clearance table was this clock radio with the capability to dock an iPod, for $40, so I picked it up. It solves two problems entirely: my lack of a clock anywhere I can see in the living room, plus when I have a migraine, I hate having earbuds in my ears.
The only problem is that it doesn't come with the two AAA batteries needed for the remote control, and it explicitly requires that an adult change or install batteries, so I'm afraid I may never be able to do it.
It's playing now; as far as the sound goes, it's about as good as you'd expect an mp3 pumped through an iPod and then a $40 clock radio to be, but I'm not especially fussy about sound quality, and it's good enough for me.
* And completely forgot to get Tyvek envelopes for mailing off Spindrift and PBR, dammit, so I have to go back tonight.
