My cat does these really wonderful leaps when I play with her by dangling a string above her head. They're apparently very tiring, because she'll only do four or five of them, then just goes to her haunches and bats the string for a while, then stops batting it and just looks at me with this "Why are you dangling this thing in front of me??" expression.
The photographer in me keeps trying to get pictures of ehr in midair, but (a) I ahve to hold the camera while dangling the string at the smae time, so the angle is bad, and (b) my digital camera has about a second's worth of delay after I press the button and before the shutter releases, so I usually ahve great pictures of the cat right *after* she's leaped, like this one. I was trying again today.
Not quite a leap, but a very balletic toe-pointing.

TALK to the PAW!

Finally caught a leap!

And then there was this one, whihc *is* a leap, although she's barely off the ground, but her head is inf ocus and the rest isnt, and I think it looks nifty.

And a cropped version, which I think also looks nifty.
