"I always wanted to get Edgar Allan Poe in a headlock - that thing's like a pumpkin!"

"Escape to the House of Mummies Part II" is one of the most brilliant piece of conceptual TV comedy evar.

My very first exposure to Venture Brothers was "MECHA SHIVA! MECHA SHIVA!" I was inking Project Blue Rose and had left the TV on after watching something-or-other, and that episode came on. I about died laughing.

Come to think of it, I need to go buy the season 2 DVD set. There's a new Borders that opened up this week near my apartment (well, closer than the one I usually go to), and they've got all sorts of sales and things going on at the moment...

Possibly overly personal question

Keep forgetting to ask, have no idea why it came to me now, if you had relatives in Houston in the early sixties. Sally Folse used to babysit me back in the day - and we have some great old photos - but I think the families drifted apart. Or, perhaps it was just that we moved to Canada.

MMM, not that I know of. Well, technically I believe every Folse is related to each other, but the connection could go back as far as the early 1700s. :)

OTOH, I don't know anything about the families of my grandfather's brothers and sisters - they all grew up in Beaumont, so it's not out of the realms of possibility for her to be related to them. But the connection's probably not that close. :)

Hmmm, and my parents are both from Port Arthur so...somewhere back there. BTW family name is Barras, Mom was a Mazur.
