Neat article. I wish any of my classes were like that. I wonder if anyone has suggested to her the Earthsea Cycle, as I know that is one of the few sf/f with non-white characters.

I would love to run an English class like that. Unfortunately teaching middle school boys in English as a Secondary language only leaves time for the basics, especially when they hit puberty and just stop paying attention (I'm generalising here, of course).
