Tpop's gotten around to posting my next column, comparing the three manga versions of Train Man available in English right now to see how different mangaka approach the same material.
Seinan has less handholding. Boys are expected to know about 2chan, young girls aren't. Shounen is okay with a heroes who start out weaker than girls as long as they improve. Shoujo is okay with love interests who still live with their parents whereas shounen and seinen aren't (in the movie he lives alone, by the way). Shoujo characterizes most, shounen characterizes least. Seinan is less formulaic.
Sounds like I'd like the seinan version best too though really, I don't think this story is my thing. XD; I've heard good things about the drama though.

The best version, I think, is the original 2chan posts (http://www.rinji.tv/densha/) (albeit translated into English).
