On the way to the grocery store earlier today, I stopped by the bookstore (it was only two exits farther then the grocery store ... practically next door!) to pick up a copy of the latest Lois McMaster Bujold to take with me on the cruise (I've got far more books to read on it than I have hours to read. This does not, hwoever, distress me). And discovered that they also had the recently-released Rurouni Kenshin novel, and was even more pleased to find out that it was not simply a novelization of the manga, but was a sort of side-story, like the Fullmetal Alchemist novels. So I now own it. Will probably not save it for the cruise, since it seems like it'll be a very quick read, and I don't want to haul it around if I'm going to knock it off in 45 minutes.
And now for nachos, and then to set to using the markers on the picture (I inked it lightly, to give an indication of the lines, then let it sit for 30 min or so to make sure the ink's dry so it's less likely to smear. After I put the marker on and it dries, I'll go through with the pens and reinforce the lines and make them more dynamic).
