I came home and slept for four hours - it's *finally* lessening, after four Advil, which leads me to suspect it was more a tension headache than a migraine. If the pain comes back, though, I'm resorting to the migraine drugs.
Try lying down with a cold washcloth over your eyes? It helps with the ache, glare, and internal swelling. Plus the cold probably wouldn't feel bad, either.
Make sure you stay hydrated. Last thing you need on top of a migraine is a dehydration headache.
It's fading now, after a massive Advil attack, which makes me think it was a bad tension headache instead of a migraine, but if it comes back I shall keep your advice in mind because that cool-washcloth thing sounds heavenly.
If tension, best remedy is scalp massage and whatever else results in tingly feelings. As I am not within reach, I cannot provide such, so will stick to advice. :3
You wanna pass some of those over this way? If i could just go to sleep right now, I'd be much happier, but I have a store meeting in 3 hours.... I need something to put me out of my misery.... *sigh*
It is something in the air! Both my mother and I have had dreadful migraine-type headaches today, and neither of us are at all prone to headaches. Ugh. Is there some demon headache monster running rampant today?
Must be, but I discovered that a couple pills and a little sleep makes the little demon bastard go away........course, now I'll be up all night. *sigh* :D
Me, too. :) I slept 4 hours, and I suspect I won't be sleepy until 1 or 2 AM. Luckily tomorrow's a half-day of work due to a football game Thursday night: they decided to close campus at 1 to clear out for parking. So I just have to stay conscious for half a day instead of a full day.
*sigh* Wouldn't that be nice? I'm on my way into work now, having gotten back from this damned meeting about midnight (it's about 6:40 right now.) I'll be downing the energy drinks as soon as I get to work. Huzzah for fake-awake. (Heh, I figure I've made it through cons on less sleep....but then, I didn't actually have to do anything all THAT productive XD)
