So, now...

...it seems that in my mailbox today I received Disc 4 of the cracktastic Princess Tutu from Netflix, plus what I am reliably informed is a cracked-out HK dub to rival Saiyuki Reload Gunlock of Wolf's Rain, from the lovely and mellifluous TV's [livejournal.com profile] rachelmanija*.

I am currently working on character design for the Gay Tibetan Martial Artists thing** and will give up for tonight before too long to catch dinner and watch crack of one sort or another. But I can't decide. If I go with Princess Tutu, I get to probably get in more than one episode. If I watch Wolf's Rain, I can give the Engrish report.

I can't decide, so off to the Intarwebs I go.

[Poll #772177]

* Thank you! XD

** You want to know what's hard? Trying to make characters distinctively Indian and Tibetan in simplistic manga format without turning them into Inuit women or flamingly gay ancient Greeks. You want manga about tundra dwellers or Alexander the Great, I'm your woman.

Hee! Maybe I should write you an alternate history: Alexander in Alaska.

Please please please please watch Wolf's Rain! It's the one where Paradise is alternately translated as that, Fairyland, and amusement park.

I'm totally down with the character design for that. I think I've finally found a hairdo for Manoj that doesn't make me picture him mooching around in a toga calling people "daaaaarling." I'll show you the rejected ones so you can fully grasp the concept. XD

WR is falling behind, though!

and I'll totally disregard whatever the poll says and watch whatever seems better when I finally get ready to do so. XD

That's what I was missing from my Wolf's Rain experience...the crack!

Er, Romans wore togas. What did Greeks wear?

Quoting [livejournal.com profile] rachelmanija quoting the subs: "Flubdub and gulf!"

Chitons, I think.

Well, whatever he's wearing, it's fabulous.

Fantastic!

SO. NOT. A. TICKYBOX.

(it's a radio button, yo)

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2006-07-18 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
Where did I say that it was a tickybox? I asked you to choose an option! WOuld you rather have Jack Sparrow or a tickybox?

I would love to hear your thoughts on Princess Tutu.

OT, but it's been confirmed that that Death Note casting news -- Ishida Akira as Light and Paku Romi -- was an unfounded rumor. It's your duty to set the people straight, yo.

Yours is the third post to mention Princess Tutu on this page of my flist. (Fourth, if I count my own to a community.) Clearly, this means you should watch Tutu tonight!

DETAILS DETAILS DETAILS

(I'm sure there's a flamingly gay Greek somewhere in his story.)

I never got my copy of Project Blue Rose, by the way... was it mailed? I should yell at the P.O.

If you email me your real name and address, I'll check my list of addresses that it was sent to. :)

I keep going back and forth and changing my vote. I say Wolf's Rain because that sounds like good WTF? crack, but changed my mind to Tutu because that's just lovable crack. Quite a decision you have there.
