Fark's having a photoshop contest with cosplayers - they're supposed to depict the cosplayers at their day jobs. As of the time I looked at it, there was remarkably little gratuitous cosplayer-bashing - I noticed there's a mod note with "This is a Photoshop contest. Please do not post unaltered pictures or have a discussion about cosplaying here. Thanks" so I expect someone's actively deleting any of that.

I have to agree with the poster that says the addition of a ninja improves a Thomas Kinkaid painting no end. and I'm probably not alone in looking at the cosplayers to see if I recognize any of them

Not only does the ninja improve the Thomas Kinkaid painting no end, I am now seriously considering an altered Kinkaid painting as my next cross-stitch project. There's no end of charts like that just crying for some inventive touchups...

(Which leads to the question, what would look best photoshopped into a Kinkaid pastoral landscape? )

Actually a "Find the Hidden Ninjas!" scene would be pretty amusing. Only, of course, the ninjas couldn't be completely hidden, because a properly hidden ninja is, by definition, unfindable.

Yes, it seems fine so far! We will probably attempt to mat at least the big one this weekend, and I'll let you know if anything weird happens. (Or if I manage to get creative after all.)

My current best idea for intruders in a Thomas Kinkaid painting is a couple of confused-looking Tick-style ninjas, very badly disguised as shepherds. They'd be looking at a headstone inscribed with "ET IN ARCADIA SPOON!"
