...in the I Desperately Need To Produce More Prints For A-Kon Series, we have...

...the boobalicious Orihime from Bleach.

Again with the OpenCanvas trial, this time using mostly the watercolor brush. I like the way her legs came out - that's pretty close to the sort of style used in the art I like that's done with OC. Er, that probably didn't make any sense to you.

There was an idiot who came by my table the first year I had a table at A-Kon. He surveyd my large amount of male offerings, and said "Can you draw girls?" I said "Yeah. But I draw them all day in my life drawing class, so when I get home to draw for fun, I draw guys." He said "Oh. So you can't," and wandered on. Well, FUCK YOU Mr. Man, I can TOO draw girls. And you know what? None of them are interested in YOU.

Can you draw stairs? :|

I have very, very carefully structured my entire life so as to avoid drawing stairs. :D

So you *can* draw stairs! :D

You're right! XD

... The logic is so contrived that it works. In another dimension. Inhabited by intelligent bunnies.

Nice! But a few quick critiques.

Her hair pins should have 5 petals each (this is plot relevant).

I think her hair might be more orange.

I'm not sure her boobs are big enough.

Well, the problem with critique at this stage is that I have zero time to fix it. That being said...

(a) It's partially coverd by hair, you'll note.

(b) I've never seen the anime. I'm going by the manga, and in the manga her hair is closer to a light brown.

(I have adjusted her hair to be more orange in the original file, because I realize that I'm going to get lots of people who've only seen the anime coming by and seeing it.)

They do seem to get bigger with every volume/arc, don't they?

She has those annoying downward droopy style eyes I dislike so much. Damn those eyes!

As for OC stuff, I never could get that to work how I wanted it to, though I don't know why. Maybe I'll try it again some time soon because I want to be able to colour my pictures like how you've done her knees, but I find it hard to pull it off in Photoshop (not that I've really bothered for awhile. I'm such a slacker!)

Whoops. For the record, the cover of volume 3 shows:

(a) The angles between the lobes are wrong. And it turns out I'm wrong, too: There are *six* lobes, like a snowflake. Oops.

(b) I see you've said you've already adjusted, for people who have seen only the anime, but to my eyes the cover of volume 3 puts it at a lighter brown / more orange-y shade than shows up on my monitors.

(And damned if her boobs don't in fact look even bigger.)

That was me; stupid LJ or power outage had logged me out.

The knees were done using the watercolor tool on one layer - nice and messy and erasing the color that got outside the lines when I was done - and then putting a new layer on top and using the airbrush at a big size with very very light opacity (density? I forgot what OC calls it) to gently brush the red on. And then erasing the stuff that got outside the lines. :D

Ahh! Thanks for the tip, I think I shall download OC again and give it a go. :)
