BPAL review: Berenice
Berenice
BPAL description: From the LE - Descent into the Maelstrom collection. A cerebral scent, dry, and white. This is a perfume of thought, not heart, and of unforeseen pain and sudden obsession, touched with uncertain twilight and ambiguous horror. Stargazer lily, white musk, clear aloe, blonde amber and winding-cloth linen.
In vial: Primarily floral, with some sort of almost-bitter undertone.
Wet: It's warming up as the amber is popping out. If the musk doesn’t do anything horrible, I might really like this.
Dry: This ended up evaporating fairly quickly, leaving just a … 'bitter' isn't the word, but I have no other word for it … scent that I didn't really like.
Notes: The cat gave a couple of swipes with her tongue, but wasn't otherwise impressed. I liked this at first, but it wasn't lasting.
