A note to the crazy people out there...

Since we humans are prone to seeing patterns in things, I'm sure that you guys notice also that events or ideas seem to strike everyone on your friendslist at the same time time. I've seen mysterious, debilitating to one limit or another, illnesses strike the friendslist at the same time, as ell as other trands that I am not yet awake enough to remember. The thing that's currently going around the friendslist is crazy online stalking-type behavior from exes, relatives and aquaintances, such that three or more of the people I know online have sprung for rename tokens, and others have taken other measures.

So my message is to all the crazy people out there: STOP IT.

Won't do a lot of good, but there's not much else I can do.

Oh, God! Now someone will immediately begin stalking me!

:D Well, I lumped you in with the mysterious-debilitating-illness crowd for your back and the series of cold/sinus/what-have-you problems, so with luck, you won't end up in the stalker crowd.

I did have this odd thing happen recently where a friend of mine on OK Cupid started dating a guy she met there who I'd dated in grad school, and another guy who contacted her, who had previously contacted me, managed to figure out that she and I were friends. Not at the stalking level, though.

Although I am undoubtedly being stalked by Baba-lovers from a discreet distance.

No doubt. :)

I was just struck that three people on the friendslist had sprung for rename tokens within a week, two of them because of crazy mothers, and there's several others who have people harassing them in some sort of way online. It's like there's something in the air.

Can I just fall into the crazy nervous breakdown illness group and NOT have a stalker, please?

There's bound to be another trend going that you can fit into. Except that the other trend I remember is that people's mothers are getting very seriously ill, and I don't wish that trend on anyone.

I'm going to concentrate on making a trend of people getting good jobs and having happy lives. That would be refreshing.
