I was annoyed at first, but then I found out somewhere or other that the exploit depended on cookies in the browser, and logging out changed the cookies, and that made more sense.

Still annoyed at it happening seemingly randomly, but oh well. :D

Aha! So that's what happened.

I'll be happy as soon as they fix community redirects so that http://www.livejournal.com/community/coumminityname/tag stops pointing to [livejournal.com profile] tag.

What do you know! As I was typing that comment, even. LJ Admin is really on the ball today.

Heh. That was pretty much accurate. I got a kick out of being in the top 100 comments on the maintenace post. I didn't know it was a big deal until people started saying stuff about it. It is interesting to read all of those comments on those posts. What a strange phenomenon. *baffled*

I still want to know why I have to click on "memories" three times to get in.

And you even got mentioned (http://community.livejournal.com/lj_dev/705401.html). You're e-famous! XD

I ran across the answer to that somewhere - when the servers are overloaded, they temporarily shut down that feature to lessen the load.

This thread (http://news.livejournal.com/90556.html?thread=29977532#t29977532) deals with that.

That is the best explanation ever.
